Bill King, Research Fellow
- B.S. degree in Genetics and Microbiology and M.S. degree in Food—University of California, Davis; MBA—St. Mary’s College, Moraga, CA.
- Tapped to lead the science e ort for Advanced Naturals probiotics
- Was a lead scientist in probiotics before probiotics were mainstream; helped create much of the foundational science for probiotics
- Managed innovation and research programs in global technology companies, including DSM Inc., Genencor International, Rhodia SA, Rhone-Poulenc SA, and The Clorox Company; focus has been in the development of novel cultures, antimicrobials, enzymes and probiotics, resulting in 18 patents to date
- Led a team in new directions in the creation of new methods for testing
C difficile, TB, Biofilms, MER-CoV, and Ebola, and became the Clorox

Dr. Francis Lau, Associate Research Fellow

Dr. Zac Lewis Scientist II
- Ph.D. in Microbiology—University of California, Davis; completed the prestigious postdoctoral fellowship funded by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation
- Specialist in probiotics and prebiotics
- Extensive expertise in Bifidobacterial genetics and physiology, as well as training on measuring bacterial abundances in the gut using state-of-the-art DNA sequencing techniques
- Studied the effects of specialized prebiotic sugars in breast milk on the developing gut microbiome of infants
